Designed for experienced testers, this track covers scalable test design, data-driven frameworks, API automation, and CI/CD execution.
Course Outline
- 1. Data-Driven Testing & TDS
Reusable TestStep Blocks (RTSB): Creating modular, reusable blocks to eliminate test step redundancy.
Test Sheet & Classes: Structuring test data sets directly inside Tosca Commander.
TestDataService (TDS): Managing and fetching dynamic runtime test data across concurrent test runs. - 2. Advanced Control Identification
Robust Scanning Techniques: Resolving complex UI elements using Anchors, Index Identification, Image-based Identification, and Property Filtering.
Custom Control Handling: Steering non-standard or custom UI components. - 3. API & Web Services Automation
Tosca API Scan: Capturing REST and SOAP web service endpoints.
Headless Testing: Constructing payload requests, verifying JSON/XML responses, and stitching API steps with UI workflows for true End-to-End automation. - 4. Execution, Reporting & CI/CD Pipelines
Execution Lists & Execution Entries: Managing test suites, linked execution logs, and failure reporting.
Distributed Execution (DEX): Configuring parallel, unattended test runs across remote agent machines.
CI/CD Integration: Connecting Tosca test suites into pipeline engines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and defect management systems (Jira, qTest).
Location
Onsite training can either take place in our premises on Mlynske Nivy 5, 821 09 Bratislava or in the premises of our client.
